Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, in association with NITI Aayog and the Ministry of Defence, is organising an outreach programme titled iDEX on December 6, at AGBI (Atal Great Lakes Balachandran Incubation) Centre. The incubation centre is situated within the campus.
The platform iDEX has been introduced to help create functional prototypes of products or technologies relevant to national security (prototyping), and spur fast-moving innovation in the India’s defence sector.
The three challenges
Start-ups, MSMEs, or innovators, can apply to any of the three challenges that will be addressed on the day. The three challenges are — four-axis stabilised antennae for c- and ku- band operation, creating a portable spoof emitter for surveillance and ground-based air defence weapons, and friend or foe identification system.
